MEPCO Power Shutdown in BahawalNagar Circle Schedule July 2025

Why Power Shutdown in BahawalNagar Is Necessary

Electric lines like the 132kV Haroonabad–Faqir Wali line carry high-voltage electricity over long distances. Over time, these lines require upgrades and reinforcement to handle the increasing power demands.

MEPCO has planned this shutdown to install additional circuits, which will reduce the risk of overloads and unexpected faults. This proactive step will ultimately help minimize future power interruptions and ensure a safer and more stable electricity supply for residents and businesses in the region.

Safety & Supervision

MEPCO has appointed Mr. Shahbaz Ali (Contact: 0307-7709732) as the LS-II Safety Supervisor for these shutdowns. His role is to oversee safety measures during the work and ensure that both workers and the public remain protected throughout the process.

Important Advice for Consumers

As an electrician, here’s my practical advice for anyone living or working in the affected areas:

Turn Off Sensitive Appliances: Shut down computers, televisions, and other sensitive devices before the scheduled outage to prevent damage from sudden power restoration.

Avoid DIY Electrical Work During Shutdowns: Never attempt to handle electrical connections during outages, as unexpected supply restoration can be dangerous.

Plan Ahead for Water Pumps & Daily Tasks: Arrange your water storage and other essential tasks early in the day before the scheduled shutdown.✅ Stay Updated: Keep in touch with MEPCO updates through local newspapers or mosque loudspeaker announcements, as mentioned in their notice.

Commitment to Better Service

MEPCO has assured that these shutdowns are necessary improvements and that electricity will be restored promptly after each maintenance session. Moreover, they’ve emphasized that the compensation schedule will be followed in true spirit under the directions of the General Manager (Operations), MEPCO HQ Multan.

Final Thoughts

Planned power outages, though inconvenient, are essential for a stronger and safer power network. The upgrades to the 132kV Haroonabad–Faqir Wali line will ultimately reduce future faults and bring more reliable electricity to local homes and businesses.

Stay safe, plan ahead, and always follow official updates for any changes in schedules. For any technical advice or electrical issues during these times, consult a qualified electrician or contact MEPCO’s dedicated officers.
